The most important room in the house, Mike and Shelley wanted to create a nursery that was environmentally friendly, bright and fun, and could transition easily from baby to toddler to teen. They invested in eco-friendly furniture that was also stylish and timeless.
- Furniture: Made from sustainable harvested and forest council certified wood.
- Crib and Changing Table: The Baby Miro Mercer Crib and changing table are made from pine harvested from sustainably managed forests. The crib and changing table are finished with certified non-toxic finishes and paints that conform to the federal guidelines and standards set forth by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, as well as the American Society of Testing Materials. The crib easily transitions into a toddler bed.
- Mattress: One of the most important purchases since a baby/toddler spends a tremendous amount of time sleeping. Naturepedic uses organic cotton, provides non-toxic fire protection, does not use allergens, and eliminates the use of toxic chemicals from its product.
- Bookshelf and toy box: These products are made from sustainably forested wood and they are finished with non-toxic, water based finishes and glues. Plus they are hip, trendy, and will sustain her for many years to come.
- Flooring: Bright pink wool area rugs from IKEA accent the room. They are environmentally friendly, and easy to clean.
- Paint: Non-VOC paint from the Benjamin Moore Natura Line.
- IAQ (plants): Plants continually filter the air and are a beautiful addition to any nursery.
- Bedding: organic cotton bedding from Clouds and Stars. This bedding is designed with safety in mind. The top and bottom sheet zip together so there is no risk of sheets coming undone, and it makes changing sheets easy and quick.
